These Terms & Conditions govern your purchase of goods and services from Four Solutions. By buying from us, placing an order, or making a transport booking, you agree to these terms.
1.Who we are
In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Four Solutions, a retail and services business trading from 97 Protea Avenue, Ext 5, Lenasia, Gauteng, South Africa. "You" means the customer purchasing goods or services from us.
2.Our services
We supply goods and services across our five departments: House of Electrical (electrical supplies and fittings), House of Tyres (new and used tyres — supplied only), House of Transport (local deliveries and bakkie hire), House of Beds (beds, mattresses and bases) and House of Gas (LPG refills, cylinders and accessories).
3.Prices, quotes and payment
- Prices are shown in South African Rand and, where applicable, include VAT. Prices may change without notice, but the price confirmed at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
- Written quotations are valid for 7 days unless stated otherwise, and are subject to stock availability and correct measurement or information supplied by you.
- Payment is due in full before goods are collected, delivered or dispatched, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. We accept the payment methods advertised in store.
- Ownership of goods passes to you only once we have received payment in full. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery or collection.
- Delivery within Lenasia is free on goods purchased from us; deliveries outside Lenasia are quoted separately.
4.Availability and orders
All goods are subject to availability. We may limit quantities, refuse or cancel an order, or correct an obvious pricing or description error, even after an order is placed. If we cancel a paid order for these reasons, we will refund you in full.
5.Advice, suitability and installation
- Any advice we give on electrical, gas or other products is general guidance offered in good faith. You are responsible for ensuring the goods are suitable for your intended use.
- Electrical and gas installations must be carried out by a suitably qualified and registered person, and a Certificate of Compliance obtained where the law requires one. Unless we have expressly agreed in writing to perform an installation, we supply goods only and do not certify any installation.
- Incorrect installation, misuse, overloading, or failure to follow manufacturer instructions may create safety risks and will void applicable warranties.
6.Transport bookings
- Transport bookings are quoted based on the collection and delivery addresses, the load and access details you provide. Additional charges may apply for extra distance, waiting time, difficult access, stairs, or an under-declared load.
- You must ensure that someone is available to give and receive access at the agreed times, and that goods are ready and lawful to transport.
- We take reasonable care with your goods but recommend that high-value or fragile items are suitably packed and, where appropriate, separately insured. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for loss or damage in transit is limited as set out in clause 9.
- Cancellation and rescheduling of transport bookings are covered in our Refunds & Cancellations policy.
7.Warranties
- Goods are covered by the implied warranty of quality under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008, which generally allows defective goods to be returned within six (6) months of delivery for repair, replacement or refund.
- Many products also carry a manufacturer's warranty. We will pass on the benefit of any manufacturer warranty and assist you with claims where possible.
- Warranties do not cover fair wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, unauthorised repair, incorrect installation, or failure to follow care and safety instructions.
8.Returns and refunds
Your rights to return goods, and the items that cannot be returned for safety or hygiene reasons (such as dispensed gas, fitted tyres and used mattresses), are set out in full in our Refunds & Cancellations policy, which forms part of these terms.
9.Liability
- Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act or other law that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
- Subject to the above, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss (such as loss of profit, income or opportunity), and our total liability arising from any purchase or booking is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant goods or service.
10.Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information, to inspect goods on collection or delivery and report any visible defect or shortage promptly, and to use all goods — particularly electrical and gas products — safely and lawfully.
11.Privacy
We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and how we use and protect it.
12.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on our website at the time of your purchase or booking is the one that applies.
13.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
